Regional Sales Manager – Norway – Linepipe

Job Description:
Responsible for sales & marketing activity in Norway market and other markets for Linepipe & OCTG.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Marketing:
Identify opportunities for meetings with customers/ publications/media, liaise with clients in
order to gather advance project information such as special technical requirements and project
implementation schedules, identify and implement suitable solutions for customers and secure
support of the most suitable subcontractors.

Sales Target:
Based on results of marketing activities, make short-term (1 year) and mid-term (following 2-3 years) sales plans/targets and action plans for their achievement
Tenders:
Review tender documents and clients’ RFQs (Requests for Quotation), analyse technical requirements,
request and collect quotations from specialized manufacturers/subcontractors, negotiate optimum
commercial and technical conditions from the subcontractors, prepare competitive tenders, negotiate
commercial and technical conditions with both subcontractors and clients and conclude them to
purchase orders, review draft contracts.

Project Management:
Prepare contract budget and estimated profit, organize, attend and manage technical and pre-
production meetings, understand additional requirements and negotiate variation orders with both
suppliers and customers, prepare procurement and service Contracts for sub-suppliers.
Also, take care of arrangement of third party Inspection (if necessary) / production schedule /
logistics, monitoring credit limit and money collection.

Internal Applications:
In accordance with internal compliance, prepare internal applications such as “Large Tender
Application”, “Country Risk Application”, “Credit Limit Application”, “Security Control Application”.

Reporting:
Maintain and submit a list of tenders submitted to Customers at near-to-award stage for
proper monitoring and follow up of current and forecasted projects, assisting the General
Manager for following up and monitoring of the yearly department budget.

Skills / Experience required

Written and spoken Norwegian to naive standard
Business level English
Commercial experience in the oil & gas industry (sales / procurement / marketing / sales engineering)
Sales experience working in steel pipe (linepipe / OCTG)

 

Based: London

Salary £60 – 80,000 dependent on experience.
