Contingency Recruitment.
Recruitment where the fee is contingent on success is the most cost effective and lowest risk service that agencies offer.
Other than advertising the vacancy yourself this is the lowest cost method of recruitment because fees are payable only upon success.
Contingency recruitment involves agencies advertising your vacancies at their expense and searching their databases for suitable candidates to put forward for your vacancies.
The client is responsible for all assessment and interviewing.
This form of recruitment is used at all levels of staffing but is best suited for low to mid-range vacancies.
Specialist agencies will not usually accept all vacancies on a contingency basis.
Industry standard fees for specialist services such as multilingual recruitment, where candidate numbers are low and advertising costs are high, are between 12.5% and 20% of 1st year salary.
Therefore the advantage to the client is cost and the disadvantage is that the agency will quickly move on from your vacancy onto another clients vacancy if they do not meet success in the time
