Opportunities in the Danish Market
Our client is a city-based independent marine underwriting agent, providing coverage in all areas of marine insurance, with a specific focus on yacht insurance. They have a growing book of European business, in addition to a large book of UK risks.
Having previously worked predominantly through other brokers in Scandinavia in recent years, they are now concentrating on expanding direct business opportunities in this region.
The company has a specific product for the Danish market that is written in Danish and is subject to Danish law. They also currently employ a Danish speaker, who handles any Danish enquiries /clients.
In order to build on current success, the business is now searching for an ambitious Sales and Marketing Manager.
Purpose
To grow and develop visibility in Denmark, both directly with the yacht owning public and via producers, i.e., yacht brokers, chandleries, etc.
The Person
You will be reliable articulate and most importantly, fluent in both Danish-English. You will have a logical mind with an eye for development opportunities. The role would be ideally suited to someone with previous experience of B2C marketing as well as digital marketing. Knowledge of the insurance industry would be preferable but not essential. The ability to also speak other Scandinavian languages would be an advantage.
Main Tasks
Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to generate yacht enquiries from Denmark. The strategy must incorporate digital and conventional marketing techniques. The role will be based in London but regular travel to Denmark will be required.
