Our client is a Swedish owned manufacturer supplying the construction industry Due to expansion in the UK they now need to employ a Swedish speaking Training and Development officer.
The Role:
Act as a Swedish Human Resources business partner for the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees’ skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the organisation.
Assess the skills and knowledge within the group and determine what training is needed to grow and retain these skills.
Develop training modules and development programmes to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks.
Deliver training modules personally where appropriate and support internal specialists or arrange for external third-party trainers.
Qualifications and Experience:
Fluent in both Swedish and English
Graduate level education or equivalent experience;
Membership of Professional HR / Training body e.g. CIPD;
Excellent presentational skills;Swedish Human Resources
Able to plan, organise and prioritise in a complex environment.
Numerate, literate and computer-literate;
Confident personality, able to communicate with all personnel from receptionist to Board level;
Able to work autonomously and contribute to overall team objectives.
Duties:
Manage the delivery of training and development programmes, in line with the training strategy;
Produce training materials for in-house courses;
Incorporate e-learning techniques, and where relevant, be involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages;
Identify training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources managers;
Design and implement training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual;
Work as a business partner to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties, such as line managers, financial controllers and senior management;
Consider the costs of training programmes and operate within agreed budgets, assessing the return on investment of any training or development programme;
Develop effective induction programmes;
Monitor and review the progress of trainees and new employees through questionnaires and discussions with managers;
Ensure that statutory training requirements are met for internal programmes and industry approved programmes when offered to customers and industry partners on a commercial basis;
Amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment;
Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses;
Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and presenting this research to senior management
Maintain training records and take advantage of government sponsored programmes and grants where appropriate;Swedish Human Resources
